Also spent a few years since we started with my wife Marianela and a group of friends with this idea of the Foundation. The first steps were arduous, and we should decide what we were going to focus on channeling our aid.
Anyway, did not hesitate a second to decide that we wanted to do in the little ones, and in that framework to prioritize established organizations with good reputations and, initially, bahienses (since this is my hometown and I feel that I very much). Those chosen were at that time, the Foundation for Child and Mother Margarita home. Then also, as far as we can we extended our assistance to entities in various parts of Argentina.
I heartily thank all the people who pressed for the early steps of the foundation to be successful. Actually, to be supported in this way and see the willingness to cooperate, they really want to keep doing things and seek new challenges.
We all know that a foundation will never solve the tremendous structural problems in our country, which is almost like being always patching things badly done, that should solve the problems our governments right from their roots, but when you give without expecting anything return (more than a smile or a sincere thank you) and when it is known that recipients of our aid does not deserve absolutely nothing of what is happening, you do not do more to feel full and happy to be working, albeit with some minimum. In the words of Mother Teresa of Calcutta: "We sometimes feel that what we do is just a drop in the bucket, but the ocean would be less if it needed that drop."
